Packing for a solo adventure can be both exciting and daunting. A well-thought-out packing list makes everything easier.

From my experience, packing light is key. Large suitcases can quickly become a burden.

This list isn't meant to be exhaustive. Instead, think of it as a practical starting point.

Top essentials you must pack first

  • Passport, visas, travel documents (+ photocopies)
  • Travel insurance details
  • Money (always keep it with you)

  • Chopsticks (expensive in Europe!)

Winter Packing Essentials

Tip: Choose water-resistant or waterproof shoes.

  • Insulated jacket or coat
  • Thermal leggings & base layers
  • Scarf, gloves, hat & sunglasses
  • Underwear & warm socks
  • Sleepwear
  • Swimwear (saunas!)

Shoes

  • Hiking boots (great for winter)
  • Comfortable walking shoes
